Accra, April 16, GNA – Independent record label AVMGMUSIC, founded by Daniel Azure, has announced its strategic partnership with ROC Nation Distribution.
This alliance aims to amplify the global presence of Afrobeats and empower emerging African artists through enhanced distribution channels and industry support.
The collaboration’s inaugural release, “Across the Sahara,” featuring dynamic artists Xkledle and Pendee, debuted on August 21, 2024. The single has garnered significant attention, setting the stage for future projects that highlight the rich tapestry of African music and resonate with audiences worldwide. Building on this momentum, AVMGMUSIC is expanding its global footprint.
AVMG Africa, under the leadership of Prince Anthony Bart-Appiah, plans to establish offices in Accra, Lagos, and Cali by July 2025.
These hubs will serve as vital platforms for distribution, collaboration, and mentorship, bridging the gap between African artists and the global music industry.
In a bid to enhance creative synergy, Mr Bart-Appiah stated that AVMG Africa will also host a series of workshops and seminars aimed at educating artists about the latest developments in music technology, marketing strategies, and brand development.
By fostering an environment of growth and innovation, AVMG Africa aims to nurture the next generation of music industry leaders.
As part of this initiative, AVMG Africa will host renowned artists, including the legendary Christopher Williams, in Ghana to mentor and guide emerging creatives on the intricacies of the music business.
This mentorship programme will facilitate knowledge sharing and provide artists with the tools necessary to navigate their careers successfully in the competitive global market. In a statement about this partnership, Daniel Azure, President of AVMGMUSIC, said, “Partnering with ROC Nation Distribution marks a significant milestone in our journey to
elevate African music on the world stage. “Together, we are creating avenues for artists to share their stories and talents globally, ensuring that the richness of their culture is celebrated worldwide. With this partnership, we are committed to changing the dynamics of the music landscape, giving artists a stronger voice and greater opportunities.”
Prince Anthony Bart-Appiah, Head of AVMG Africa, added, “This collaboration is more than a partnership; it’s a movement to reshape the narrative of African music. By providing resources and mentorship, we’re ensuring our artists not only shine but thrive in the global arena.
“We believe in the power of storytelling through music, and our mission is to give every artist a platform to tell theirs.”
In addition to music releases, AVMGMUSIC and ROC Nation Distribution plan to launch a series of social initiatives aimed at promoting cultural awareness and appreciation of African music. These initiatives will include community events, collaborative performances, and outreach programmes designed to connect artists with their local communities.
