Western North NHIS reviews 2024 operations

Sefwi-Wiawso (WN/R), March 3, GNA — Staff of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) in the Western North Region have been tasked to approach this year with all seriousness with intensive media engagement and outreach community exercises.  

Mr Gordon Amoh Boahen, the Western North Regional Director of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), said the move would help expand the Scheme’s access to the citizenry, and help the country to achieve the Universal Health Coverage.  

He was speaking at the 2024 Annual performance review meeting of the NHIS, at Sefwi-Wiawso.  

Mr Boahen also told the staff to work as a team and put in more efforts in their daily operations to increase the region’s membership mobilisation drive.  

He announced that the Region had been adjudged Second in terms of nationwide revenue mobilisation by attaining 64 per cent out of GHC556,530.00 of its revenue target for 2024. 

He said Sefwi Juaboso was adjudged first in membership mobilisation by achieving 106 per cent of 84,867 as its 2024 annual target, out of the nine district offices in the region.  

He said Bodi district office also placed first in the region in terms of revenue mobilisation. 

The review meeting brought together staff from all the nine district and regional offices.
