Ada Foah (Near Tema), March 14, GNA – Success Africa, a youth empowerment organisation, has hosted a leadership summit at the Ada College of Education (ADACOE), focusing on personal development, career guidance and leadership training.

Professor Prince Boateng, the Principal of the College and Convenor of the programme in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), highlighted the importance of the summit in shaping and building the hundreds of students who attended into their various perspectives and careers for the future.

Prof. Boateng revealed that ADACOE is hosting the summit for the second time, expressing optimism about expanding the programme to reach more students in the coming years.

The summit also witnessed enthusiastic participation from students at the college as well as representatives from Akatsi College of Education, providing participants with a platform for young leaders to engage in insightful discussions, mentorship sessions, and interactive workshops aimed at equipping them with essential skills for their future careers.

Mr Albert Kusi, the Chief Executive Officer, Leadership Empowerment Cooperation (LEC-Group), who also doubles as the Director of Success Africa, emphasised the importance of such gatherings in shaping the next generation of leaders, noting that trained teachers must also have knowledge about hand skills.

He noted that the potential of the teachers must be harnessed to safeguard them and equip them so that they could pass on their knowledge to the young one.

“This will make the lives of students be safe in their hands because they have acquired knowledge about it,” he said.

Mr Kusi said the leadership summit was part of a broader initiative by Success Africa to mentor and empower young individuals across Ghana.

Participants were taken through various sessions covering topics such as entrepreneurship, financial literacy, career planning, and leadership ethics.

The event also featured seasoned professionals who shared their experiences and encouraged students to remain committed to their academic and professional goals.
