Accra, March 25, GNA – Police Corporal Adamadu Mohammed and four others aboard a Toyota Corolla died in a crash on the Accra-Kumasi Road.
The incident occurred on March 21, 2025, at about 1300 hours, when a DAF XF articulated truck, driven by Isaac Antwi and carrying goods, collided with the car near Yaw Kwei, Konongo.
Police said the truck driver overtook without observing traffic rules, leading to a head-on collision.
The victims, who were trapped with severe injuries, were rescued by the Konongo Fire Service but were all pronounced dead.
Their bodies have been sent to the Stewards Hospital Morgue at Yaw Kwei for identification and autopsy.
The Toyota Corolla was completely mangled in the accident.
