Parliament exhibits Budget Statements since 1959 for public viewing

Accra, March 14, GNA – The Parliament of Ghana is exhibiting photos of Ghana’s Ministers of Finance and hard copies of the Budget Statements since 1959 to date for public viewing.

The photographs and the materials were displayed at the foyer of Parliament for two days and continue the exhibition at the Library of Parliament till Friday, March 14, 2025.

Mr. Emmanuel Laryea, Deputy Director at the Library of the Parliament of Ghana in-charge of Records and Archives, told the Ghana News Agency in an interview on Wednesday.

He said Wednesday, March 12, 2025 was solely dedicated to exhibiting the photos of female members of Parliament since the First Republic to date, and those who had occupied leadership positions in Parliament.

Other side attraction on display were hard copies of parliamentary Hansards, especially the budget debates and State of the Nation Addresses delivered by the various Heads of State.

The Hansard is the transcript of parliamentary proceedings.
