Accra, March 11, GNA – The Government has reaffirmed its commitment to implementing the comprehensive 24-Hour Economy policy as part of efforts to stimulate economic growth and create jobs across various sectors of the economy.

Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, the Finance Minister, gave the assurance when he delivered the 2025 Budget Statement and Economic Policy of Government to Parliament on Tuesday.

He emphasised the aim of the policy, which is to address Ghana’s structural economic challenges by creating “an integrated, efficient and increasingly export-driven industrial economy’’ that maximised the use of national resources, capital, and human potential.

He said the 24-Hour Economy initiative would be presented to Parliament as a separate policy document in due course.

In preparation for its implementation, the Government planned to review a number of legislation, including the Labour Act and the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre Act.
