GJA calls members to March 31 AGM

Accra, March 18, GNA – The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has urged all members in good standing to attend its Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for March 31, 2025.

The AGM will take place at 1100 hours at the Ghana International Press Centre in Accra.

It will cover the General Secretary’s Annual Report, the audited accounts to be presented by the National Treasurer, and regional reports, among other issues.

In a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency, signed by its General Secretary, Mr. Kofi Yeboah, the GJA, explained that under Article 34(a)(ii) of the Association’s Constitution, the AGM is the highest decision-making body.

It is to be convened by the National Executive in the first quarter of each year.

The statement said that members in good standing as of December 31, 2024, are entitled to attend the AGM.

It clarified that all members, except honourary and student members, are eligible to vote.
