Otiakrom-Shallom E/R March 26 GNA – Apostle Dr. Kadmiel E.H. Agbelenyo Leader and Founder of the Seventh Day Theocracy World Congregation has urged church leaders to go into farming ventures to produce more food for exportation and consumption.

He said the ventures whenever taken would create job opportunities for the youth and encourage them to stay in the country instead of travelling outside to seek for white colour jobs.

Apostle Dr. Agbalenyo made this call in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Otiakrom-Shallom near Aburi in the Eastern Region after the one-week main annual Sabbath day celebrations.

He said cultivation of vegetables, cassava, palm plantation, coconut among others could also help the economic growth of the country.

“Apart from our minerals and cocoa, Ghana has fertile lands for farming and therefore appealed to them to go to the chiefs to acquire lands for the farming.”

Apostle Dr. Agbalenyo said his church had already acquired over one hundred hectares of land at Offinso in the Central Region for the cultivation of palm nut plantation, which had helped the youth in the locality to acquire a living.

He also advised the youth to stop travelling to seek for white colour jobs and take farming also as a carrier, which would help them in future as well as their families.

He said soon he would acquire another land for the cultivation of vegetables.

Apostle Dr. Agbalenyo also urged the youth to put an end of social vices and take Bible lessons to grow to become God fearing persons.

He said farming is also an opportunity that if entered would help solve their financial issues.

“Farming is a good opportunity that is why God created the garden of Eden where Adam and Eve settled.”

He said produce from the farms could be exported to other countries for foreign exchange and others to the local markets to promote the economic development of the country.
