Assemblyman applauds the leadership style of NALAG President

Ho, Mar. 3, GNA – Mr Christopher Galenkui, Assemblyman for Adaklu Wumenu Electoral area in the Adaklu District has applauded the National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG inspiring confidence in the local governance system.

He said the leadership style of Mr Alfred Asiedu Adjei, President of NALAG and his unwavering commitment to the welfare of Assembly members in the country has strengthened the Association.

Mr Galenkui said this in a press release signed by him and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Ho.

He noted that Mr Adjei’s proactive engagement, timely communication, strategic advocacy, and passionate service had earned him admiration and respect of members of the Association.

“One of his hallmarks was his dedication to keeping Assembly members well-informed,” he stated.

Mr Galenkui intimated that the President of the Association ensured that members were updated on government policies, local governance issues and relevant national development.

He noted that his commitment to open communication reassured members that their concerns were being heard and addressed.

The Assembly member stated that members who hitherto in the past felt disconnected from national discourse now appreciated the deliberate efforts of their President in bridging the information gap.

He said Mr. Adjei’s consistent updates on funding allocations, policy changes and government interventions empower members to make informed decisions in their respective localities.

Mr Galenkui stated that this level of engagement had significantly strengthened confidence in NALAG as a responsive and forward-thinking institution.

“His active involvement in capacity building programmes, advocacy campaigns and key governance activities demonstrates his dedication to the growth and development to Ghana’s local government system,” he stated.

Mr Galenkui said his advocacy efforts had helped to elevate the status of the association’s members, ensuring that their voices were heard at the highest level of governance.

“His swift and well-crafted press releases on issues affecting local governance has positioned NALAG as a credible and authoritative institution,” he noted.

Mr. Galenkui said the President ensured that NALAG did not merely reacted to issues but proactively influenced policy direction and re-enforced its role as a critical player in national development.

He said Mr Adjei’s deep-seated passion for service was not driven by personal gain but by genuine commitment to strengthening local governance and improving the welfare of Assembly members.

Mr. Galenkui said Mr Adjei’s ability to empathize with the challenges of local leaders and worked tirelessly towards practical solutions made him a leader worth celebrating.

He stated that members were optimistic that his term would bring even greater reforms and empowerment to local governance in Ghana.
