Accra Metropolitan University and Durban University of Technology seal groundbreaking partnership

Accra, March 28, GNA – Accra Metropolitan University (Accra Met) and Durban University of Technology (DUT) in South Africa have signed a landmark memorandum of understanding (MoU), paving the way for a dynamic and mutually beneficial collaboration.

A statement issued by Accra Met, copied to the Ghana News Agency said the agreement, signed on Thursday, March 27, in Accra, aims to foster academic excellence through cooperative initiatives, promoting cross-cultural understanding and friendship between the two institutions.

It noted that key areas of focus include Integrated Learning Programmes: Joint academic activities, research projects, and student exchanges to enhance knowledge sharing and skills development.

Others are Faculty Exchange: Collaborative research, teaching, and mentoring opportunities for faculty members to strengthen academic ties; and Student Mobility: Exchange programmes enabling students to study abroad, immerse themselves in diverse cultures, and broaden their perspectives.

The statement said this strategic partnership was expected to yield sustainable and productive outcomes, enriching the academic experiences of both Accra Met and DUT communities.

It said the signing of the MoU marks the beginning of a fruitful collaboration between Accra Met and DUT, driving academic innovation, cultural exchange, and mutual growth.
