Upper East NDC congratulates Dr Apaak, Akanvariba, on ministerial nominations

Bolgatanga, Feb. 06, GNA – The Upper East Regional branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has congratulated Dr Clement Abas Apaak, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Builsa South constituency on his nomination as Deputy Minister-Designate for Education.

In a statement, signed and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Bolgatanga by Mr Jonathan Abdallah Salifu, the Regional Communications Officer of the NDC, the party said the nomination was in recognition of his leadership qualities that made him an asset to this role.

“This well-deserved appointment reflects his extensive experience as a ranking member of the Education Committee in the Eighth Parliament, his strong advocacy for the education sector, and his unwavering commitment to the NDC,” it said.

The statement thanked President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC leadership for the confidence reposed in him and expressed their full support to the nominee.

In another statement signed by Mr Salifu, the NDC also extended their congratulations to Madam Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba, the MP for the Tempane constituency as the Minister of State-Designate for Public Sector Reforms.

It described her nomination as “well-deserved,” saying, it reflected her extensive experience as a legislator, strong leadership qualities and unwavering commitment to the party.

The NDC regional team express their gratitude to President Mahama and the Party leadership for their confidence in her, and pledged their full support, wishing her success in her new responsibilities.
