Takoradi, Feb. 13, GNA – Some staff of Ghana Gas have praised the remarkable contributions of Dr. George Sipa-Adjah Yankey and Dr. Robert Kofi Lartey, in the establishment of the company.

Between the year 2011 to 2017, Dr. Sipa Yankey the then CEO and Dr.  Lartey then Lead Engineer made history by completing the first ever state-of-the-art gas infrastructure that had over the years sustained power supply for industries and homes in Ghana.

“Undoubtedly, the general view is that the appointment of Dr. Sipa Yankey as Board Chairman and Dr. Lartey’s confirmation as CEO bring to bear the experience needed to promote Ghana Gas to the next level”.

Some staff of the Company who confided in the Ghana News Agency, unanimously believed that, “The duo will see to the successful construction of the Train Two (Second Gas Processing Plant), which will further enhance and power the government’s 24-hour economy initiative”.

Dr Sipa-Adja Yankey, the first CEO of Ghana Gas, and an investment economist, could drive much more investments to expand the gas infrastructure in the Western Enclave and Ghana as a whole.

Meanwhile, some residents were genuinely pleased with Dr. Lartey’s appointment as Acting CEO and subsequent confirmation would contribute significantly to operational stability.

Dr. Lartey has the needed industry expertise and the administrative prowess to steer the day-to-day running of Ghana Gas, they pointed out.

Ghana Gas since coming on stream had contributed to Ghana’s energy supply and it is hoped that the construction of the second train would in no small way stabilize power supply in the country.
