Nsoatre, (Bono), Feb. 4, GNA – The Heart for Children Foundation, a non-governmental organisation, has presented seven state-of-the-art microscopes to some Senior High Schools (SHSs) in the Sunyani West Municipality.
Each of the seven schools received a machine to advance the teaching and learning of science.
The beneficiary schools include the Chiraa SHS, Nsoatre Sacred Heart SHS, Fiapre Notre Dame SHS, Odumaseman SHS, Fiapre Kyem Amponsah SHS and the Nsoatre Presbyterian Dutch SHS.
At a short ceremony held at Nsoatre, Mr Solomon Boateng, the Founder and Director of the Foundation, urged the schools to make good use of the machines to better the understanding of the students in science.
Mr Michael Amoako, the Headmaster of the Kyem Amponsah SHS, thanked the NGO for the gesture, assuring that the machines would be used for the intended purpose.
At the Sacred Heart SHS, Natasha Kabah, a science student, said the students were highly excited, saying the machine would impact positively in their academic pursuits and broaden their understanding of the study of the subject.
She said the school already had five of the machines, saying adding on would facilitate efficiency in the practical studies.
