Ho, Feb. 19, GNA – A six-member committee has been set up to refine implementation strategies for government’s 24-Hour Economy Policy for the Volta Region.
The Committee will reconvene in 24 days to present its progress report for the implementation of the Policy in the Region.
Mr James Gunu, Volta Regional Minister, reaffirmed his commitment to making Volta a leader in the 24-Hour Economy, ensuring economic growth, job creation, and enhanced service delivery for the people.
He tasked stakeholders to develop blueprints for the programme’s rollout, ensuring Volta became a model for other Regions.
Mr Augustus Awity, Chief Director of Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC), emphasised that the 24-Hour Economy agenda was part of the President’s commitment to ensuring jobs for all.
He noted that a high-level meeting with heads of government departments and agencies to discuss the implementation marked the official kick-start of the programme in the Region.
