Tourism Minister assumes office, pledges commitment to teamwork, collaboration

Accra, Jan 27, GNA – Madam Abla Dzifa Gomashie, the Member of Parliament for Ketu South, and Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, has pledged her commitment to pursuing the vision of the President for the ministry.

She said, teamwork and collaboration among staff of the ministry and industry stakeholders were essential to the achievement of that vision.

Madam Gomashie made the statement when she met with Directors and Management team of the ministry on Monday, January 28, 2025 when she assumed office at the Ministry.

The Minister urged the team strive towards making a lasting impact, also called on them to deliver on their part of the bargain.

“While I may not be new to this ministry, I am open to learning new things, and I am confident that together, we can achieve great things,” she said.

“I am excited to embark on this journey and I look forward to working with each and every one of you,” she added.

Reflecting on the enormity of the task ahead, Madam Gomashie said she remained optimistic and resolute in driving tourism growth, creating opportunities, and making a positive impact.

She highlighted the importance of inclusive tourism growth, stating that there was a need to focus on culture and creative arts to ensure that the benefits of the ministry are shared equitably among all stakeholders.

Madam Gomashie was welcomed by Mr Vittus Otto Langmagne, the Director, Human Resources, and Acting Chief Director of the ministry.
