Sekondi, Jan. 3, GNA – Mr. Blay Nyameke Armah, the Member of Parliament elect for Sekondi, has appealed to the people of Sekondi to forget about their political differences and unite towards the development of the constituency.
“Since the elections are now over, and it is imperative for us to do away with the bitter interparty divisions and unite for the development of the area.”
Mr Armah made the call when he joined some churches within the constituency on new year day.
He thanked God and the people for the confidence reposed in him.
The churches included Christ Apostolic Church, Presbyterian Church, All Saint Andrews Anglican Church, and Wesley Methodist Church.
Mr Armah reminded them that Sekondi was their collective asset,
“You have your constituency as your common asset, and you suffer the consequences if you are divided continually and fail to develop it.”
He commended his predecessor, Lawyer Andrew Kofi Egyapa Mercer, for contributing his quota towards the development of Sekondi and assured him of his willingness to always consult him to share ideas to make Sekondi great again.
