Accra, Jan 17, GNA – Mr Ahmed Ibrahim, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament MP for Banda, has been nominated by President John Dramani Mahama as the Minister-designate for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs.
Mr Ibrahim is a Ghanaian politician and public servant.
He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from GIMPA and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Ghana.
Since 2009, he has served as a Member of Parliament, representing Tain and later Banda Constituencies and has held leadership roles such as Deputy Majority and Minority Whip.
A former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Flamingo Publications Ghana Ltd.
Mr Ibrahim has participated in international workshops on parltamentary governance and telecommunications.
