Dzodze (V/R), Jan. 1, GNA – Reverend Father Emmanuel Amedzi, the Parish Priest of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at Dzodze in the Volta Region, has encouraged parishioners to boldly proclaim God’s blessings in their lives to inspire others and draw them closer to the Lord.
At a testimony session in preparations for the Cross Over Mass on December 31, Rev. Fr. Amedzi emphasised the importance of sharing personal testimonies about God’s blessings.
“That is a powerful way to demonstrate the goodness of God and to invite others to experience His love and mercy,” he said.
“No one should be shy about announcing the blessings they have received from God. Your testimony of God’s favour can serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration to others.”
Rev. Fr. Amedzi acknowledged that many people hesitated to share their testimonies, particularly during end-of-year services, due to shyness or fear of judgment.
He urged parishioners to overcome such inhibitions, reminding them of the transformative power of sharing their stories.
“I am expecting more people to give testimonies about God’s favour and blessings in their lives,” he stated.
“Even in the Bible, when Jesus healed someone and asked them not to tell anyone, the person couldn’t help but shout about the healing they had received.”
The priest encouraged his congregation to see testimonies as an act of gratitude and evangelism, which could strengthen the faith of others and draw them to the Church.
His call to action underscores the Church’s commitment to fostering a culture of faith, gratitude, and evangelization within the community.
