Akumadan (Ash), Jan. 22, GNA – Mr Caesar Ofosu Acheampong, an aspirant for the District Chief Executive (DCE) position in Offinso North, has assured residents of a non-partisan and inclusive approach towards governance and development of the area, should he be appointed as the DCE.
He said he was committed to prioritizing the needs of the people and placing the interest of community members above political or partisan interests.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview, Mr Acheampong, who was a former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for the area, said unity and collaboration were crucial in fostering growth and development within the district.
He said he envisioned a future where all residents, regardless of their political beliefs, could benefit from improved infrastructure, better healthcare services, and enhanced educational opportunities.
According to him, by advocating for non-partisan initiatives, he aimed to create a harmonious environment, where progress was the main agenda.
As a potential DCE, he was determined to lead with transparency and inclusivity and promised an open-door leadership style, should he be appointed as DCE.
Mr Acheampong pointed out that his willingness to listen to the concerns and suggestions of Assembly members and constituents alike would help promote inclusive local governance and development.
It would also ensure that decision-making processes were democratic and reflective of the community’s diverse needs.
Mr. Acheampong also pledged to prioritize the welfare of Assembly members by supporting their efforts and providing necessary resources, which intended to strengthen the capacity of the Assembly to address pressing issues effectively.
“Collaborative effort between the DCE and Assembly members is crucial for driving sustainable development and fostering a sense of ownership among residents,”he stressed.
