Tamale, Jan 17, GNA – The Northern Region Muslims Council of Ghana (NRMCG), has congratulated Mr Haruna Iddrisu, Member of Parliament for Tamale South, on his nomination as Minister-designate for Education.
This was contained in a press statement issued by the NRMCG, signed by its Chairman, Sheikh Issah Alhassan Abubakari, and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Tamale on Friday.
The statement said: “We view this appointment as a vindication of the expectations of all well-meaning Ghanaians, and we are confident that Mr Iddrisu’s exceptional leadership skills and vast experience make him an ideal candidate for this position.”
It said as Mr Iddrisu prepares to face the Appointment’s Committee, he should remain steadfast and composed, trusting that his impressive credentials would earn him a smooth passage.
“We pray that Almighty Allah guide him in this new endeavour.”
It said the Ministry of Education needed a leader of unparalleled caliber and Mr Iddrisu embodied that quality.
“His distinguished career and outstanding contributions to Ghana’s development make him a shining example of excellence.
“We, as a Council, are proud to associate with him and eagerly anticipate that he will bring his wealth of expertise to redefine the Ministry’s mandate,” the statement said.
