Newborns at St Francis Xavier Hospital receive gifts from Father Amoah Gyasi

Assin Fosu (C/R), Jan. 03, GNA – The Very Rev Father Stephen Amoah Gyasi, a philanthropist and cleric, has donated to newborn babies and their mothers at the Saint Francis Xavier Hospital at Assin Fosu, to welcome them into the world. 

A total of 207 babies comprising 110 males and 97 females were born at the hospital between December 24th  and 31st , 2024. 

He presented essential items such as baby diapers, dresses, treated mosquito nets, baby foods and many more to their mothers and the hospital staff. 

Very Rev. Father Amoah Gyasi, said the donation was to commemorate his birthday which fell on December 31, to celebrate it with babies born on that day, saying babies were gifts from God and deserved love and care. 

He expressed joy at being able to support the newborns and their families, saying it was important to love and care for the vulnerable, citing biblical teachings that emphasised the need to care for the poor and the needy. 

He appealed to philanthropists, civil society groups and others to assist the hospital in diverse ways to improve health care delivery. 

Miss Ellen Adobea, the Deputy in-charge of the maternity ward, expressed gratitude to the Rev. Minister for his kindness and appealed to the mothers, to take good care of their babies to aid their growth. 

Miss Akua Amusu, a beneficiary was grateful to the Man of God, saying it had brought significant relief to her by reducing the financial burden on her for her to focus on her recovery.
