London, Jan 30, (PA Media/dpa/GNA) – Cristiano Ronaldo continued his impressive scoring form, as Al Nassr beat Al Raed 2-1 in the Saudi Pro League on Thursday.
Portugal forward Ronaldo who turns 40 next Wednesday, struck for the third successive game to take his goal tally to 15 in 17 league appearances this season.
Marcelo Brozovic swung a free-kick into a crowded penalty area after 35 minutes, and Ronaldo got on his foot on the ball to guide it past Al Raed goalkeeper Meshari Sunyur.
Ronaldo released Nawaf Boushal, two minutes after the restart and the defender doubled Al Nassr’s lead with a polished finish.
Amir Sayoud gave the hosts hope 14 minutes from time, but Al Nassr held on to climb to third place in the table.
