25 killed after bus overturns in northern Ethiopia

ADDIS ABABA, Jan. 25, (Xinhua/GNA) — At least 25 people were killed and 29 others injured, in a road accident in northern Ethiopia on Thursday, local

authorities confirmed.

The accident occurred, when a transport bus lost control and overturned, in the Dawunt District of the Amhara Region, eventually leaving 25 people dead,

the North Wello Zone communication office said in a statement. The accident left 14 people with serious injuries, and 15 others with minor injuries.

Local officials said the injured are currently receiving medical treatment at nearby health facilities.
