NDC makes history; wins Ablekuma West Constituency

Accra, Dec 8, GNA – The National Democratic Congress’s Reverend Kweku Addo has made history by winning the Ablekuma West Constituency Parliamentary seat for the first.

He polled 31,866 against the incumbent Mrs Ursula Owusu-Ekufful, of the New Patriotic Party’s 26,575 votes out of the 58, 441 total valid votes cast.

This marks an end to the 12 years reign of the NPP in the constituency since its creation.

The Constituency was created in 2012 and covers Dansoman, Sahara, Gbegbeyise, Agege, Glefe, Opetekwe and Shiabu.

In the 2020 General Election, Ursla polled 37,363 votes, while Rev Kweku Addo obtained 30,733 votes out of the 69,533 total valid votes.

Rev. Addo was born and raised in Dansoman.

After completing his secondary education, Rev. Addo traveled to Europe and the United States of America to pursue higher education and gain valuable professional experience.

In addition to being an accomplished entrepreneur and real estate broker, he is a clergyman known for his humility and compassion.
