Sunyani, Dec. 26, GNA – The Bono Regional branch of MTN Ghana has presented Christmas packages to 30 babies on admission at the Sunyani Teaching and Berekum Holy Family Hospitals.
The babies were born on Christmas Eve, December 25 and Boxing Day December 26, 2024, and each of them received a gift hamper containing diapers, baby soaps, feeding bottle, playing toy, washing powder, baby perfume and cotton bud and baby oil and dress.
Describing the babies as special born, Mr Kofi Owusu, the Bono Regional Manager, MTN Ghana asked the parents to take good care of the babies.
He indicated that the hospitals were chosen for the presentation because of their quality healthcare delivery and asked them to continue with that to improve health outcomes.
Mr Owusu reminded the hospital authorities that MTN remained a business entity operating for profits and not charity organisation, saying it intended to set-up MTN Momo joints at the various collection points of the hospitals to enable clients to also pay their bills via Momo.
“We want to see that we leave a footprint at the beneficiary hospitals,” he stated and urged the hospital management and the health workers to encourage clients to pay their bills through their MTN Momo Accounts.
Mrs Emelia Gyamfuaa, the Deputy Director in-charge of Midwifery Services at the Sunyani Teaching Hospital thanked MTN, saying the nursing mothers required the items for the proper upkeep of their babies.
