Accra, Dec. 7, GNA – Polling booths were mounted 0540 hours at the three polling stations in the Ebenezer Senior High School in Dansoman, Ablekuma West Constituency for the presidential and parliamentary elections.
Some voters as early as 0600 hours were in queues waiting for the opening of polls.
The Ablekuma West Constituency was one of 45 newly created constituencies for the 2012 general election
It covers the districts of Dansoman, Sahara, Gbegbeyise, Agege, Glefe, Opetekwe and Shiabu.
The Member of Parliament for the constituency is Mrs Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, the New Patriotic Party’s candidate for the 2024 general election.
She is contesting the seat again with Rev.Kweku Addo, the National Democratic Congress’ Candidate.
