Dr Yeboah Asuamah urges chiefs, queens to prioritise development

Dormaa-Ahenkro (Bono), Dec. 23, GNA – Dr Yeboah Asuamah, the Paramount Chief of Atebubu Traditional Area, in the Bono East Region has urged traditional authorities to prioritise and allow the development of their localities to override their personal interest. 
 
He called on chiefs and queens to use their positions and influences to seek the progress of their people and holistic development of their communities. 
 
Dr Asuamah gave the advice when he addressed a grand durbar of the chiefs and people of Dormaa to climax the silver jubilee anniversary of the enstoolment of Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu II, the Paramount Chief of the Dormaa Traditional Area at Dormaa-Ahenkro. 
 
It was on theme “Our Environment, our Future”, and attended by chiefs and queen mothers of the 13 divisional chiefs of the Dormaa Traditional Area including Dompim, Akyempim, Brofo, Twafo, Adonten, Benkum, Krontire, Kyidom, Ankobea, Gyaase, Akwamu, Aduana and Nifa. 
 
Dr Asuamah commended Osageyfo Badu II, also the President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs for his passion for development and called for measures to protect the environment, urging the people to respect the elderly in society. 
 
Osagyefo Oseadeyo Badu II expressed appreciation to the chief and people of the Bono, Bono East and Ahafo Region for their support and cooperation since his enstoolment 25 years ago and re-affirmed his commitment to facilitate the development of traditional area and the region by extension.
