Duayaw-Nkwanta (Ahafo), Dec.10, GNA – Dr Gideon Boako, the Parliamentary Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the Tano North Constituency has won the seat in the Party in the just-ended presidential and parliamentary elections.
Dr Boako, also the spokesperson of the Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, polled 21,127 votes to beat his sole contender Mr Pius Sampson Opoku, the National Democratic Congress who had 17,707 votes.
