New Takoradi (WR) Dec. 15, GNA – Apostle Eric Nyamekye, the Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, has encouraged Christians to live modestly to fulfill their destiny.
He said God believed in the Little things and so must believers also appreciate little by little achievements instead of putting unnecessary stress on themselves for worldly pursuits.
Apostle Nyamekye said only eight percent of the population crossed the 65 age revealing that anxiety, anger , and brooding of pains and wrongs instead of living these issues to God had mostly contributed to some premature deaths in the body of Christ.
Apostle Nyamekye said: “the world will not be without challenges….and that is the realities of life, yours is to trust in God for safety as you also guard your lives very well through proper healthcare regimes when necessary”.
Apostle Nyamekye, who was the guest preacher at the 70th Anniversary celebration of Bishop Emmanuel Botwey, Presiding and General Overseer of the Christian Faith Church worldwide, said God was faithful in His providence towards humankind.
He blessed God for the Life and Ministry of Bishop Botwey over the last seven decades with profound impact on humanity.
Mr. Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, the Western Regional Minister, alluded to the positive contributions of Bishop Emmanuel Botwey to the peace of the Region as Chair of the Regional Peace Council.
He said; “Bishop Emmanuel Botwey has been very instrumental in resolving many chieftaincy challenges in the Region with his endearing personality and humility.”
Mr. Darko-Mensah said the Bishop exemplified possibilities and purposeful living who didn’t allow his humble background to deter him from achieving great things for society and advised the youths in Sekondi-Takoradi to learn from Him.
Bishop Emmanuel Botwey, the Birthday Celebrant with gratitude to God said: “I am grateful to God for helping me through the changing scenes of life and bringing me this far”.
He also acknowledged the contributions of credible individuals who had helped and continue to be of immense support to his life and the Christian Faith Church, adding, “the Future is one filled with hope and excitement drawing inspiration from Psalm hundred and the stanza five.”
