It aimed to drum home the demand for peaceful elections on December 7.
Engaging with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) after the walk, Mr. Mathias Segbefia, District Director, NCCE, said the peace walk aimed to promote a peaceful electoral environment, tolerance and stability.
He said it was also meant to make collective commitment to a peaceful electoral environment, discouraging misinformation before, during and after the polls.
Rev. Frank Adjei, Chairman, Christian Council, South Dayi District, charged the participants to love peace rather than war.
Rev. Adjei, also IPDC Member, said peace in a country is essential for economic growth and development as it creates a favourable business environment, promotes trade, and attracts investment.
