Adaklu-Seva (V/R) Nov. 15, GNA- Pencils of Promise, (PoP), a non-profit organisation, has commissioned a three- unit classroom block with sanitation facilities at Adaklu-Seva in the Adaklu District of the Volta Region.
The classroom block is fully furnished and replaces the dilapidated ones.
Mr Freeman Gobah, Country Director of POP, said with the latest commissioning the number of classroom block projects undertaken in the district was nineteen.
He said the edifice demonstrated the organisation’s commitment to improving quality education in less privileged communities.
Mr Gobah said as an organisation they would continue to support the school for quality education delivery, and other schools they built across the country.
Mr Noath Adeti, Headteacher of the school, thanked the organisation for the facility, saying it was built at the right time and at the right place
He assured that the edifice would be properly maintained to prolong its life span.
Mr Kwame Agbozah, Member of Parliament for Adaklu Constituency, commended POP for providing the school with the facility and other communities.
He said Pencils of Promise was not building schools but rather the future, and appealed to the organisation to consider putting up an additional two-unit classroom block for the school.
Togbe Agbobada IV, Chief of Adaklu-Anfoe, who chaired the programme also commended Pencils of Promise for championing quality education in the area.
