Adaklu Kodzobi (V/R), Nov. 3, GNA – Mr. Charles Kugbeadzor, Headteacher of Adaklu Kodzobi District Assembly Basic School in the Adaklu district reminded parents that “education is expensive,” and efforts must be directed at planning to seamlessly fund it.
He urged them to use the greater part of their resources to fund their children’s education rather than using it in acquiring material things.
Mr. Kugbeadzor gave the reminder at the Parent Association (PA) meeting of the school to elect new executives for the Association.
He noted that though the government had introduced free education from basic to senior high schools, parents had a lot of responsibilities to shoulder if they wanted their wards to achieve success in their education.
He encouraged them to complement the government’s efforts by providing their wards with their school needs.
The headteacher advised the pupils to be obedient and make their books their best friends.
He entreated them not to bow to peer pressure to do things that would jeopardize their education.
Mr. Kugbeadzor pledged that he and his colleagues would go the extra mile to improve teaching and learning in the school.
Togbe Dzegblade IV, Chief of the community who was present at the meeting thanked the teachers for the yeoman’s job that they were doing to imbibe their children with the requisite knowledge that would lead them to the apex of the academic ladder.
He pledged his support for the school and entreated the Association to collaborate well with the teachers and help instill discipline in the children.
Togbe Dzegblade expressed his gratitude to the outgoing executives for their selfless services to the school and called on them to put their expertise at the disposal of the new executives.
