Mawuko Afadzinu elected as Executive Vice President of ATTF

Accra, Oct. 21, GNA – Mr. Mawuko Afadzinu, President of the Ghana Table Tennis Federation (GTTF) has been elected as the Vice President, in charge of the Marketing Department of the African Table Tennis Federation (ATTF).  

This was at the Elective Annual General Meeting of ATTF, on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at the African Union (AU) Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. 

The ATTF AGM brought together stakeholders to discuss key issues, strategic plans, and the future of table tennis in Africa. 

Mr. Afadzinu secured 22 votes against Uganda’s Robert Jjagwe’s 17 votes.  

The election was witnessed by 39 delegates from various African countries. 

This milestone victory underscores Mr. Afadzinu’s dedication and expertise in the development of table tennis. 

As an Executive Vice President, in charge of the Marketing Department, Mr. Afadzinu would play a pivotal role in promoting table tennis across Africa. 

His vast experience and knowledge would be instrumental in enhancing the sport’s visibility, attracting sponsorships, and fostering growth. 

Mr. Afadzinu as the President of the GTTF made a significant impact in Ghana and across the continent. 

He is currently the Vice President of the Ghana Olympic Committee and doubles as the first chairman of the Sustainability Committee of the International Table Tennis Federation. 

The Ghana Table Tennis Association has expressed pride in Afadzinu’s achievement, citing it as a milestone for Ghanaian table tennis.
