Asante Juaben (Ash), Sept. 29, GNA – Madam Ama Pomaa Boateng, Member of Parliament (MP) for Juaben has donated 150 tablets to some schools in the area.
The donation is part of efforts to promote digital education and enhance digital literacy and transformation in the constituency.
Among the beneficiary schools are the Abetenem M/A, Dumakwai M/A, and the Juaben Methodist basic schools.
Madam Pomaa Boateng speaking at the ceremony expressed her commitment to equip the youth with the necessary digital skills to help them thrive in the increasingly digital and technological world.
“This donation is part of a broader effort to empower our pupils and ensure they are well prepared for the future.”
The donation, she said, followed the successful robotic training programme she organized for about 120 students and pupils in the constituency.
Ms Phylis Boateng, Juaben Municipal Director of Education, who received the items, thanked the MP for her continuous support in educational development and growth in the area.
She said the establishment of Pomaa Tech Club, and the provision of ICT centres with science, technology, engineering, and math kits, were ample demonstration of the MP’s commitment to promote science and technological education in the area.
“These contributions are essential for fostering continuous practice and creating opportunities for more children to engage with ICT programmes,” she stated.
Nana Nti Yeboah, Chief of Dumakwai, commended the MP for her steadfast commitment to the community, despite not seeking re-election in the upcoming elections.
“When you lost the primaries, I had the fear that your promises would fade away.
However, you have honoured your commitments, demonstrating leadership that is truly admirable.” The chief stated.
