Small Medium Enterprises to benefit from Business Development Service App

Accra, August 27, GNA – The Business Advisory Services Providers Association of Ghana (BASPAG), will launch an innovative Business Development Service Application (BDS-App) for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Accra.

The BDS application, to be outdoored on August 29, 2024, was developed through collaboration between the Feed the Future Ghana Trade and Investment (GTI) Activity to bridge the gap between SMEs and vital business development services, which are often difficult to physically access due to geographical and logistical challenges.

A statement issued in Accra by Mr Sam Zeph Atiemo, the President of BASPAG, said as a comprehensive resource hub, the BDS-App would provide Ghanaian SMEs, particularly those operating within the agribusiness sector, easy access to various business development services.

These include expert advice, training, financial services, market information, and other essential resources for growth and sustainability.

It said the application features user-friendly interfaces, real-time updates, and customizable services to meet the unique needs of different businesses.

“With the click of a button and a few entries, business owners across the country can connect with BASPAG’s network of business advisory professionals, facilitating direct interactions and consultations to enhance their capacity to make informed decisions and implement effective business strategies,” it added.

The statement said the BDS-App underscored the commitment of GTI Activity and BASPAG to harnessing technology for economic empowerment, ensuring that even the smallest businesses could thrive in today’s competitive market environment, and represented a significant step forward in supporting the vibrant SME sector in Ghana.

The launch of the BDS-App will be attended by 150 participants from the business, private, and development sectors and government institutions to experience live demonstrations of the app’s features and learn how SMEs can leverage the app to improve their business operations.

It said discussions and presentations would also be made by industry leaders, business advisors, and technology experts on the importance of business development services and the impact of technology on business practices.
