Ho, Aug 30, GNA-Mama Attrato II, Queenmother of Ho-Dome, has urged parents to ensure that their children are fully immunised against childhood diseases.
She said immunising children was paramount not only for saving their lives but also protecting them and future generations.
Mama Attrato gave the advice at a programme organised by Ho Sister Association, an all-female social group in Ho, in the Volta Region, to launch their fifth anniversary.
The Queenmother said the protection of children against diseases including yellow fever, polio and measles must be a concern of all citizens.
Mrs. Nancy Kudzinya, President of the Association said they would be supporting Ho Polyclinic and the New Horizon E.P Education Centre with some items as part of the anniversary celebration.
Madam Anita Abla Enyonam Sankumah, Founder and General Secretary of the Association told Ghana News Agency the Ho Polyclinic and the New Horizon E.P Educational Centre were selected for support based on a survey conducted.
She said the Association would be supplying items including chairs, incubators, drip stands and bedsheets to the polyclinic.
The New Horizon E.P Educational Centre would be provided with food items to put a smile on the faces of the students at the Centre.
