Ghana’s Gorsh to fight with Vodounhessi for WBO Africa Bantamweight

Accra, Aug. 14, GNA – Ghana’s Daniel Gorsh set to take on Benin’s Ghislain Vodounhessi for the World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Africa Bantamweight belt on August 24, at the TreeHouse Restaurant, Labone, Accra. 

The event organised by Swavy Blu Boxing Promotions in collaboration with Sawan Papa, Nii Amoah Legacy, Emmanuel Nii Laryea Shatse Promotions is aimed at bringing the game to the doorsteps of the people. 

Gorsh (12-0-0), who is undefeated, is from the Bronx Boxing Gym headed by Coach Carl Lokko. 

Gorsh is one of the nation’s hopefuls for the country. 

A victory in this bout would catapult him into the top 15 WBO world ranking. 

However, Vodounhessi a tough customer with a lot of experience, and would boxing fans would be given their money’s worth. 

Match Maker Augustus Dodoo aka OneLife Boxing said other exciting boxers would appear on the bill. 

He said, “we strategically moved the game to Nyaniba Estates in Labone to change the tide and make the people feel the punch and enjoy the game” he said.
