Ghana Geological Survey Authority confirms Accra Monday earth tremors

Accra, Dec. 12, GNA – The Ghana Geological Survey Authority has confirmed that Weija and some parts of the Greater Accra Region experienced three incidents of earth tremor, Monday, December 12.

The three incidents occurred at 11:43, 11:53 and 11:58 a.m.

Following this development, the Authority has sent a team of seismologists to gather the necessary data regarding the earth movement and magnitude of the tremor.

Mr. Isaac Mwinbelle, the acting Director-General of the Authority, in an exclusive interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Accra, discounted reports of the incident being a 4.0 magnitude tremor.
