Nancy Quartey Sam appointed Tourism Ambassador for Miami Dade County

Accra, June 29, GNA - Mrs Nancy Quartey Sam, Chief Executive Officer, Staple Travel and Tours Limited, has been appointed the tourism Ambassador for Miami Dade County in Florida, USA. 

The former President of Tour Operators Union of Ghana (TOUGHA) is expected to help promote tourism between Ghana and Miami Dade County.

Her appointment was made when a 30-member government delegation, including three commissioners from the Miami Dade County in Florida visited Ghana to partner various government institutions and the private sector in the area of seaport, maritime, aviation and tourism.

The visit was also to connect with their heritage.

Commissioner Oliver G. Gilbert, who presented the certificate as a confirmation of her appointment, said Ambassador Nancy Sam had impacted positively on the facilitation and promotion of tourism in Miami – Dade. 

He said: “Her role in women empowerment and entrepreneurship is worth acknowledging.”

Ambassador Nancy Sam, who is also the President of Women in Tourism Ghana, said, she was poised to work hard to attain positive results and hanked the delegation for the confidence reposed in her.

She promised to bring her over 30 years of experince to bear and help promote and explore tourism, investment opportunities, and trade between Miami Dade County, Ghana and West Africa.

Miami-Dade County is a province located in the southeastern part of the American state of Florida. It has a population of about 2,701,767 as of the 2020 census, making it the most populous county in Florida and the seventh-most populous county in the United States of America (USA).
