The relief items were 75 bags of rice, over 20 boxes of cooking oil, blankets, bales of secondhand clothing, to help mitigate the plight of residents who were heavily affected by the natural disaster.

The donation followed torrential rains a couple of weeks ago in which hundreds of residents were displaced and rendered homeless.

Mr Buah appealed to the residents to relocate to a different location for safety and promised to liaise with the Ellembelle District Assembly to help them to do that.

The MP also pledged to support them with more relief items in the coming days.

In a related development, Ellembelle MP, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah visited Adubrim and Awiaso communities, where some houses were razed down because of the flood.

He presented some assorted food items and bales of secondhand clothing to the flood victims.

The MP advised them not to build in flood-prone areas and advised the communities not to dump waste into gutters as choked gutters was a recipe for flooding.
