Akpafu (O/R), Feb. 5, GNA – The Rotary Club of Hohoe has donated 73 sets of school uniforms to students of Akpafu Mempeasem E. P Primary School in the Oti Region.
The donation is to ensure that the students stay in school and actively participate in academic activities.
Mr Patrick Ahumah, Treasurer of the Club, who presented the items, urged the school authorities to give the uniforms to those who needed them most.
He said the presentation was part of an ongoing project being supported by the Rotary Club of Bad Reichenhall, Germany, which included the provision of school materials, school bags, shoes, books, uniforms and refurbishment of the school library.
Mr Desmond Korby Vorvor, Headteacher of the School, thanked the donors for their kind support.
He said the uniforms would be given to pupils who most needed them.
