Accra, Jan. 20, GNA- The National Executive of Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG) has called off the Association’s industrial action after a fruitful meeting with Government on Thursday, January 20, 2022.
A statement signed by Mr Isaac Bampoe Addo, the Executive Secretary, CLOGSAG, copied to the Ghana News Agency, said the Government at a meeting agreed to review the Memoranda of Understanding between the parties.
The statement, therefore, urged members of the Association to resume work on Monday, January 24, 2022.
An executive member of the Association told GNA that, “on a scale of 100 per cent, Government has given us 70 per cent, so we are very satisfied and ready to get back to work. We are also happy we will soon leave the Single Spine Salary Structure…”
CLOGSAG began a nationwide strike today, Thursday, 20th January, 2022 over “poor” conditions of service, saying their concerns had been ignored over the years.
