New Edubiase (Ash), Jan. 31, GNA – Mr Francis Ankomah, Adansi South District Chief Executive, has charged Assembly members to support the Assembly’s revenue mobilization efforts.
He said the assembly members had a critical role to play in revenue mobilization and it was important for them to help the assembly identify all taxable activities and properties in their areas for tax purposes.
Mr Ankomah made the appeal when he presented motorbikes to the 44 assembly members in the district at a ceremony at New Edubiase.
The motorbikes are to support the assembly members in the discharge of their duties in their respective communities.
Mr Ankomah said adequate revenue was crucial for the development agenda of the Assembly.
He, therefore, urged the Assembly members to educate their communities on the need to honour their tax obligations by paying their property rates and other levies to support the development of their communities.
