Dambai (O/R) June 24, GNA – Some 348 enumerators and supervisors of the 2021 Population and Housing Census in the Oti region have begun the inoculation of the COVID-19 vaccine at Dambai.
It is a collaboration between the Ghana Statistical Service, the Ghana Health Service and the Oti Regional Coordinating Council to vaccinate Census officials.
Mr Bawa Aminu, the Municipal Census Officer, said the officials have become frontline workers by virtue of the national assignment and a safest way to confront the disease.
He said the Municipal Assembly has 289 enumerators with 59 supervisors who were expected to go to the nearest designated area for the vaccination.
Mr Aminu said for the purpose of identification, census officials have been advised to go to the various centres with their census ID cards.
He said having the COVID-19 vaccine was the surest way of protection against the virus.
Places designated for the exercise are Katanga Health Centre, Tokuroano Health Center, Dormabin Health Centre, KpareKpare Health Centre, District Health Directorate and Dambai Health Centre.
