The facilities, constructed by the Ghana Education Trust (GETFUND), have furniture, a water closet toilet, washrooms, kitchen, staff offices and water reservoir.

Mr Ameyaw-Cheremeh said education was the surest legacy the government could bequeath the younger generation and advised the communities to take good care of the facilities.

He expressed his commitment to liaise with stakeholders in the education sector to help improve on the academic performance of students and pupils and to facilitate the growth of education in the municipality.

Mrs Theresa Kyere Boakye, the Sunyani Municipal Director of Education, advised the school heads to observe social distancing and ensure that all school children wear their nose masks and used alcohol-based hand sanitizers frequently to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 in basic schools.

She reminded the communities on the need for them to own and maintain the facilities so that children unborn would also benefit from them.
