Sefwi-Ashiam (WN/R), Dec 5, GNA – Mr Alfred Obeng Boateng, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency has presented 100 bags of cement to the Sefwi Ashiam community in the Bibiani Municipality to help complete their Kingdagarten (KG) block and computer laboratory.
The gesture was in response to a request made by the community elders for support to complete the construction of a classroom block to provide more space.
Mr Awotwe Nkansah, the Sefwi -Bekwai zonal campaign manager for the NPP, who presented the items on behalf of the Parliamentary Candidate, Mr Obeng-Boateng at Sefwi Ashiam, said the donation formed part of the party’s Development and Prosperity agenda to provide logistics to support schools within the constituency.
Mr Nkansah said the party was committed to supporting communities to create an enabling environment to enhance teaching and learning in the area.
He advised the recipient to ensure the items were used for the intended purpose.
Mr Maxwell Amponsah, the Assembly Member for Ashiam Electoral Area, who received the items on behalf of the community, commended Mr Obeng-Boateng for his quick response to solve the major challenged confronting the community.
The community members through the Assembly member promised to reciprocate the gesture come December 7, by voting massively for him and Nana Akufo-Addo to continue the good work they had already started.
