Kinaphama presents medical items to NRCC

Tamale, May 1, GNA – Kinapharma Company Limited, a pharmaceuticals manufacturer, has presented medical items to the Northern Regional Coordinating Council (NRCC) to support its efforts at containing the COVID-19 in the country.

The items included gallons of hand sanitizers, boxes of various drugs including paracetamol, and assorted fruit juice.

Mr Mohammed Andani, Northern Area Manager of Kinapharma Company Ltd, who presented the items to the NRCC in Tamale, said the gesture was in line with the company’s commitment to protect the citizenry against the disease as well as ensure quality health care for those infected with the disease.

Mr Andani expressed confidence that with the support of all, citizens the response against the disease would soon be achieved.

So far, the Northern Region has 13 cases of COVID-19 out of which six had recovered and one absconded.

Additionally, nine other COVID-19 patients from the Oti Region have been receiving treatment in the Northern Region.

Alhaji Alhassan Issahaku, Northern Regional Coordinating Director, who received the items and handed them over to the Regional Director of Health, lauded the company for always supporting the national cause.

Alhaji Issahaku said the region needed a lot more resources in its fight against the disease and appealed to other companies to support them in that direction.
