Fountain of Life supports aged, differently abled

Ho, May 21, GNA – Fountain of Life Chapel International in Ho has supported the aged and the differently abled in two districts in the Volta Region with food items to help them through the coronavirus pandemic.

A total of 350 individuals in the Ho Municipality and the Central Tongu District benefited in an exercise, which was made possible through a collaboration with the Bible Discipleship and Growth Ministry (BDGM) and their donors in Europe and America.

Apostle Senyo Mawufemor Cudjoe, General Overseer of Fountain of Life, together with some members delivered the items to the beneficiaries, and shared with them messages of hope.

He told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the donations were in response to God’s call to support the vulnerable both physical and spiritually during the period.

“Coronavirus has brought untold hardship that has also affected everybody. Life in the rural areas in particular is unbearable, and this is the time to open the storehouses of God”, he said, calling on individuals and organisations to help reach more in need.

Apostle Cudjoe mentioned that the over 90 households that made up the Church’s congregation in the region were already benefiting from periodic support, including; ministrations of the Gospel.

“We are giving them hope at this time that they should look for the Lord in the storm. He is still the Master and He is in control”, he said.

Togui Boafo IV, Chief of the Mafi Sasekpe Traditional Area in Central Tongu was full of gratitude for the timely intervention, and prayed that more support would be made available.

He mentioned the scarcity of water in the communities, saying thousands of households shared only three pipe water posts.

Togbe Boafo also said most aged were burdened with children and grandchildren, and needed support.

Fountain of Life Chapel has been educating rural communities on hygienic practices against the spread of the coronavirus, and also given out over 170 handwashing stations and facemasks.
