Swearing-in: Police commend public for cooperating with police

Accra, Jan.10, GNA – The Ghana Police Service (GPS) has commended the public for cooperating with the Police during the swearing-in of President John Dramani Mahama and Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the Vice-President.

In a press release issued by the Police Public Affairs Directorate and copied the Ghana News Agency, it said, “Ghana Police Service sincerely commends the general public for their understanding and cooperation with the Police on Tuesday, 7th January 2025, during the swearing-in of the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and Vice President, Her Excellency Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.

“We particularly thank the motoring public for their patience during the temporary road closures and traffic diversions in Accra during the event,” it added.

It said the Police remained committed to maintaining peace, security, law and order across the country and asked the public for continuous support.
