We’ll remember Akufo-Addo for his sense of humour, elegance-Sunyani residents

Sunyani, Jan. 10, GNA – A cross section of residents in Sunyani, the Bono Regional capital on Friday said they will remember the former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his sense of humour and elegance.

According to them, despite his rigidity and some shortfalls in his government, the hilarious ‘side’ of the former President had left an indelible mark in the minds of many Ghanaians.

“This man will just make you laugh. The way this man will even crack some jokes when responding to allegations from his political opponents will make you laugh,” Mr Kwasi Ansu, a teacher stated.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani on what they liked and cherished most about the personality of the former President, Madam Esther Amankwaa, a trader also said, “I will also remember Akufo-Addo for his elegance”.

“Let’s be truthful here, in fact, despite everything, the man is classic.

I always admire him for the way and manner he speaks the Queen’s English. I loved his voice and composure too”, a university student, Cecilia Brobbey indicated.

In her view, Nimat Mustapha, a journalist said the former President Akufo-Addo said, “I like former President Akufo-Addo because it seems he does not care about what people say about him,” describing the former president as an “easy to go type”.
